Dr. Patty Pool

A business development professional and education champion, I enjoyed traveling the USA with my work in education and healthcare sectors. COVID-19 grounded me to my home office for over a year. Business continued, but suddenly travel time gave way to spare time. On a warm July evening in 2020, I found some acrylics and painted the Red Umbrella. It was the first in my Pandemic Painting Series. Granny Weetau, my sister-in-law, Sheryl, and I took oil painting lessons from Coke Lankford in the fall of 1979. It was fun and relaxing. We would set up easels in my garage and paint for hours. I was introduced to acrylics through Painting with a Twist parties. It would be over 40 years before I realized I had a talent for painting. The isolation experienced during the pandemic caused people to explore what else they were capable of doing. No one was more surprised than I was that I could paint! It is a gift from God that I proudly proclaim. Now, with the help of art lovers, collectors, and patrons, I promote education that opens doors and changes lives.
