"I consider myself a Neo-Abstraction Expressionist, an action painter.  My influences are the "action" painters of the 50's , 60's and 70's , ... Dekooning Cline, Pollack and others. 

Much of my work is non-objective, no recognizable subject.  I mostly concern myself with color, value, line, shape and space. I hope that the viewer enjoys my art for what it is, an extension of myself.

Art is a compulsion. I love to create, to push myself to exceed my limitations. I love the thrill of moving paint."

Stan has a Bachelors and a Masters degree from Southwestern State University. Stan has participated in many local group shows and solo shows and has won top awards from Sherman Art League, and the Great Plains Exhibitions at SOSU.
