Mary Karam

Graphite/Charcoal/ Photography

Mary Karam is a visual story-telling artist who has owned/operated the MK Gallery in Denison, Texas for over 16 years where she exhibits her photographic art along with the work of many other artists. Karam has participated in numerous juried and non-juried shows at the 2nd Floor Gallery at Grayson College, the SAL Exhibit in Sherman, the Seven-State Biennial Show, the Great Plains Show and the Goddard Exhibit in Oklahoma. Karam's serious photography work started with a couple of commercial photography classes in the late 80s at Brookhaven Community College in Dallas. In recent years, Karam combines nature photography with artistic digital creations using her trusty Canon 5D, her new R5, and her cell phone camera. Her new medium is graphite and charcoal on numerous papers.
