Donna Marie Dollyhigh
While living in the incredible Caribbean paradise of Saint Croix, in the Virgin Islands, Donna marveled in the beauty of the beaches, palm trees, and surroundings. Walking on the beach one day she noticed the fish shaped “bowls” had fallen off the coconut palm trees. Her creative and artistic thoughts kicked in and the rest is history, “Fish-Fan-T-Sea Creations” were born. With a little research, Donna discovered the “fish”, better known as “spathe” bowls, served an important role in development of coconuts. They grow over the top of the “inflorescence”, protecting the fragile development of the coconut.
Each “fish” is created with a unique design, size, colors shapes – no two are alike.
We have learned that God's beauty is everywhere, even in palm tree parts that fall to the ground and beg to be recycled as beautiful painted fish personalities!
